Built in 1981 by the Al Ghurair family as the first purpose-built shopping mall in United Arab Emirates and covers 300 thousand sq. ft. of retail space, which holds 250 stores, 350 apartments and 150 thousand sq. ft. of offices. Its shops will offer a combination of traditional and modern merchandise from Middle Eastern textile to perfumeries. Al Ghurair City has two levels and houses an 8-screen Grand Cinecity cinema.
